As a member of the Madison County Board, Kathy Smith gives you a voice in the County.


Foster Township and other areas of Alton and Wood River townships along the 255-corridor are slated for future growth. Like many in the area, Kathy is concerned about the nature, size and density of that growth, and about the accountability to the current residents of our area. Katherine is working to bridge the gap between local residents, the county, and other municipalities to guarantee the opportunity to be heard in the planning process, and to work to preserve our area’s quality of life.


"To say our community is experiencing growth is an understatement. Yet, not all growth is good, and not all development is bad. I pledge to make preserving our conservative, rural values and quality of life a top priority when representing you on the County Board. I think it is time to give our residents a voice in planning the growth that is inching closer to our backyards."
